VLC Media Player Can Do More Than Most People Know, and It's Free and It's Portable.

This is from one of my old how to posts. I thought some of you might find it useful.

With VLC you can extract any part of any media format, convert it and from there change any aspect of it. I don't know the folks that built this. Have no interest in it, just think it's the best out here for some forms of capture and editing.
