He says that one cannot remove vocals 100 percent but just reduce them to a minimum compared to the rest of the sound. Then what is the point of the exercise. The title says, "How to get rid of the Vocal track in Adobe Audition" If there's still some of the vocal track left you haven't gotten rid of it have you? Let's get an Adobe expert shall we. Allowing amateurs to post crap like this on WonderHowTo. My advice is to buy a good copy of the backing track if you're a serious singer and not to waste your money on programs that make claims their software will magically remove vocals to make your own Karaoke music. They do much of the same here in this video and wow you with an all singing and all dancing interface that does F all
Wow, I know this is an old video but if I had seen your comment back then, I would have said the same thing I'm saying now because I've been using this technique (and a few others in Audition) for 4 years now.
This works if you need an instrumental. We're not all singing over the top of them. Some of us are remixing. This instrumental inverted cancels out all the music to make an acapella when mixed with the original. Unless you have the official instrumental, this is the most effective technique for making an acapella.
He didn't say it's perfect, he said it's not. But many of us don't need it to be perfect. It IS perfect for what I want to do. I had a DIY acapella downloaded from my soundcloud and hit 1000 downloads in 3 days with this technique so I'm not alone with the idea that this is effective.
Don't think it works? Here's the last acapella I did using only the original track and Adobe Audition

And this is the one that hit the download cap in 3 days

So think before you abuse someone who's trying to give help to others
